IndexG Esports is delighted to announce the return of gamrX to Kenya. Kenyan gamers have yet another chance to represent their nation at the biggest esports competition in Africa.
This esports competition shall see Kenyan gamers battle on two titles; FIFA23 and Street Fighter V, both played on PlayStation 5, with the winner earning a ticket to represent their nation in Lagos, Nigeria.
The competition organized by gamr, a Nigerian based esports organization shall bring together 18 African nations to Lagos in what is its second edition. This is an increase from the 12 nations that participated last year.
Last year’s FIFA22 Kenyan champion Eric Demon, who was knocked out at the Quarter Final stages in Lagos is upbeat, promising to do his best to defend his Kenyan title,
“Representing Kenya in Nigeria was a great experience for me. Esports opened a door for me to travel outside my country for the first time and I really thank gamr for that. Now I want to focus on winning the Kenyan qualifiers yet again so that I can make it to Lagos yet again and hopefully do better.”
IndexG C.E.O Ronny Lusigi on his part thanked gamr for expanding the esports opportunities in Africa,
”What gamr are doing is very good for the esports industry in Africa since we have not been having enough of these platforms to showcase our talents. I am really happy to have Kenya included once again.”
The Kenyan qualifiers take place on Apri, 1st, 2023, at the Technical University of Kenya from 9:00 a.m. and is open to any Kenyan gamer above the age of 18, who can register on IndexG Esports website.
