FRENCH AMBASSADOR GRACES ELIGUE 1 TOUR ESPORTS FINAL

French Ambassador to Kenya H.E Arnaud Suquet graced the eLigue1Tour finals at the Alliance Francaise, as the guest of honor, where he officially opened the competition.

The ambassador expressed his pleasure in sharing an experience with the kenyan esports community, 

French Ambassador to Kenya H.E Arnaud Suquet with host Ms Shon Osimbo.

“I am very happy to attend this esports event and join you young people on your special day. I want to first recognize the gamers, since one of them is going to France. I hope that it will be a fair and very good competition’.

H.E Arnaud took the opportunity to encourage Kenyan gamers, heaping praise to the growing esports scene. While at it, he congratulated the organizers for attracting the huge audience, comparing it to the numbers he saw at the same venue during the World Cup final pitting France and Argentina in December 2022.

“We are grateful that the Ligue 1 in France is a partner of esports here in Kenya which is growing and I am happy to see that French football is gaining traction in Kenya. I can see that we have many people here today but I can tell you that when we had the world cup final here there was not a seat for everybody. We had people out in the street.”

The French Embassy in Kenya was among the sponsors of this eLigue1Tour Kenya edition and C.E.O Ronny Lusigi also expressed his gratitude for their support,
