Welcome to the eLigue 1 Tour Kenya official qualifier!

The eLigue 1 Tour is back for the fourth season and the third time in Kenya!!!! 

This time it will be featured in three different cities, Mombasa, Nakuru and Nairobi

The eLigue 1 Tour, in collaboration with EA SPORTS, is Ligue 1 Uber Eats' international esports competition open to gamers and football fans aged 16 and above. 

The competition is played on PlayStation 5 using on EA Sports FC24.

The winner of the eLigue 1 Tour Kenyan edition shall secure a fully paid trip to Paris, France for a VIP treat of Ligue 1 Uber Eats action and a chance to compete in the international eLigue 1 Tour Finals competition against champions from other regions.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

UPON REGISTERING FOR THIS TOURNAMENT, YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU’VE READ, AGREED TO, AND ACCEPTED WITH THE RULES DESCRIBED IN THIS DOCUMENT.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

One must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered a “Player”:

  • Players must be at least 16 years old in order to participate. Players under-18 must provide parental consent.

  • Players must register on the tournament registration platform

  • This tournament is played on PlayStation 5 and EA Sports FC24.

  • In order to compete in the eLigue 1 Tour on a fair and equal basis, all Players must be residents of Kenya and play their respective matches from the designated competition venue. As the case may be, LFP Media can ask the Players to provide proof of residence in order to determine their eligibility to compete in the Competition. LFP Media, in its sole discretion, will determine the adequacy of such proof and/or documentation.

  • Registration for the competition will end on 1st March 2024 or when a maximum of 2000 participants register:

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE

Tournament Operations

  • Players must complete the check-in process between one hour and one minute before the tournament start time.

  • Players must check in for and begin playing their match within 10 minutes or they will be considered to have forfeited their match.

Match Settings

  • All games will use kick-off mode with the settings shown:

  • Only Ligue 1 Uber Eats team are to be used

  • Half Length: 6 Minutes

  • Controls: Any

  • Game Speed: Normal

  • Squad Type: 95 Overall

  • In-case of a draw, we go to penalties directly

  • Any other unlisted settings must not be changed and must be kept at their default

MATCH OPERATIONS AND ADDITIONAL RULES

Match-Making

The fixtures for the competition shall be decided by a random matchmaking draw conducted on challonge website. 

The draw shall only be conducted after check-in is complete on the morning of each event.

Communication

឵឵Competitors communication outside of the dedicated Whatsapp communities channel, and official emails, will be ignored for purposes of administrative decision making. Announcements made on any other channels will not be reviewed as part of administrative decisions.

Officiating/Match Issues

  • We shall have official referees on site during the competition date.

  • All complaints must be addressed to the referee in the case of any issue.

  • If your opponent is breaking a rule set above, you must immediately inform the referee.

  • It is the referee’s responsibility to verify that the game settings are correct.

  • If a game is played beyond the 1st half with incorrect settings before an admin is contacted then the game score will stand.

  • If a player is found breaking the rules above that the admins deem warrant a game loss, then the opponent will be given a 3-0 win for that game unless they already had more than a 3 goal difference at the time of reporting the issue.

  • Only referees can report the scores.

  • In-case of a technical error on the console or loss of electricity during a match, the following rules shall be applied:

  • For matches still in the 1st half, a fresh restart shall be allowed.

  • For matches in the second half, only one half shall be replayed, with the scores being as they were before the technical problem.

  • If during a penalty shoot-out, then the penalties shall resume with the same score and at the same penalty kick number.

PRIZES

For the Kenyan eLigue 1 Qualifiers, the following prizes shall be offered:

  • 1st: Sh 25,000

  • 2nd: Sh 15,000

  • 3rd: Sh 10,000

  • 4th: Sh 5,000

Finals Phase

all regional and national Champions win a trip to France to face off in the eLigue 1 Tour Finals for the international title and a share of the €8.000 prize. They also enjoy a unique weekend at the heart of Ligue 1 Uber Eats, experiencing matches in VIP conditions, visiting Paris among other cities and much more.

  • 1st: €3.500

  • 2nd: €1.500

  • 3rd-4th: €750

  • 5th-8th: €375

PRIZING

  • Payment will be made through wire transfer.

  • Each winner of each qualifier will be granted a ticket to travel to France for eLigue 1 Tour Finals,  subject to the respect of the Rules. The organizer in its sole discretion can call a player back for a retake to keep the tournament competitive integrity.

  • Finalists of the eLigue 1 Tour Season 4 will be flown out to France to compete in the eLigue 1 Tour Finals at the Freaks 4U Gaming Studios in Paris. They will arrive on Tuesday 18th of April 2024 and leave on Monday 22nd of April 2024. During their time in France, players will also enjoy a unique experience discovering the Ligue 1 Uber Eats from the inside (matches, stadium tour, etc.) and French cities and culture.

  •  The LFP Media will bear the costs in relation to the finalists' travel from their initial flight to their return flight, including transportation, meal and accommodation expenses in France strictly related to the finals (taxis, hotel, catering, local transport, activities agreed by LFP Media). All additional and personal expenses will be at the sole player's cost.

  • The LFP Media will be responsible for the players from their arrival in France until their drop-off at the airport for their return flight. LFP Media will not be responsible for any events and/or accidents occurring before or after this period. LFP Media. Players need to have a personal insurance.

  • The prize is strictly limited to its designation (plane tickets, taxis, hotel, catering, local transport, activities) and does not include any additional expenses and services that may be related to its consumption or use, which is at the sole and exclusive charge of the finalists. It cannot be contested in any way, nor can it be replaced or exchanged for any reason whatsoever.

  • Finalists must use the flight tickets that have been taken by the organisation, which will not cover any modification or cancellation costs. Finalists are responsible for arriving on time for check-in and boarding the plane. LFP Media will not be held responsible for any delay of a finalist, and if he/she misses his/her flight, he/she will be responsible and bear the costs for the consecutive travel expenses incurred.

  •  The LFP Media cannot be held responsible if a finalist fails to obtain its VISA to come to France.

  • Players under 18 years old require parental authorization for travel related prizing. Player under 18 years old also cannot travel alone and must abide by any applicable related laws from their country.

  • Players and accompanying persons must respect the programme provided and supervised by the LFP, which cannot be held responsible if they deviate from it.

  • Throughout the competition, Competitors invited to participate in live events will be required to sign and return a Declaration of Suitability and to attest of their residence.

 RIGHT OF PUBLICITY AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

LFP will post the names of confirmed winners online after each national qualifier on http://battlefy.com/eligue1tour and each country's national hub.

The Competitor grants LFP the right to use their personal information and other data provided by the Competitor without receiving consent or offering compensation to the Competitor for marketing and promotional purposes.

By accepting a prize, Player grants LFP the right to use their personal information, and any other information provided by Player, without further consent or compensation to Player, for the administration, marketing, and promotion of the Competition, Ligue 1 UberEats, and/or the Game, unless otherwise noted below:

  • Background info: Full name, country of residency, age, Supported Platform Username (PSN ID), position on the monthly leaderboard in the month of qualification.

  • Football fandom info: Favorite Ligue 1 Uber Eats professional football club, favorite Ligue 1 Uber Eats professional football player, favorite Ligue 1 Uber Eats FUT player item.

  • Social Media info: Twitter handle, YouTube channel, Twitch account, Instagram username (if applicable).

  • Photos: Any photos provided by Player to Ligue 1 Uber Eats or photos of Player taken onsite at a Live Event.

  • Other Information for tournament administration only: Shirt size, dietary restrictions, mobile phone number.

  • LFP may use the account information of the Player for the purposes of administering the Competition, including without limitation that Ligue 1 Uber Eats may contact Player by email and/or other means.

LFP Media may use the account information of the Player for the purposes of administering the Competition, including without limitation that LFP Media may contact Player by email and/or other means. 

Players acknowledge that the texts, logos, images, photos, video, and audio accessible as part of their participation in the Competition are and remain the exclusive intellectual property of LFP Media and/or its partners (such as EA SPORTS) and/or third parties, and that their participation in the Competition does not grant them any ownership rights over all or part of these elements.

APPENDIX A

Force Majeure

  • Ligue 1 Uber Eats shall not be held liable for any breach of any of its obligations under the Official Rules resulting from a force majeure event as defined by Article 1218 of the French Civil Code.

  • Ligue 1 Uber Eats shall endeavor in good faith to take all reasonable measures to limit the effects of such an event and shall pursue the performance of the Official Rules under the best possible conditions

Sanitary Restrictions

  • LFP Media shall not be held liable for any breach of any of its obligations under the Official Rules resulting from a sanitary restriction taken by any national or local entity including Ligue 1 Uber Eats itself.

  • LFP Media shall endeavor in good faith to take all reasonable measures to limit the effects of such an event and shall pursue the performance of the Official Rules under the best possible conditions.

  • LFP Media  will not bear the costs of a participant’s stay in France if he stays in France after the end of the finals. In case of a quarantine, for example in France or in his country of origin, player shall bear all costs in relation to its stay/quarantine.

  • If the player is not able to travel , LFP Media  will forfeit the participant’s prize and invite another participant in his place.

Forfeiture of Prizing

LFP Media has the right to cancel a participant’s prize if that participant is found at any point to have broken any tournament regulation.

Personal Data

As the data controller, the Organizer (LFP Media) acting in co-responsibility with Index G Esport, processes personal information concerning the Player (such as his/her surname, first name, civil status, city of residence, email address ID and any other data provided or generated in the context of the Competition - hereinafter the "Personal Data") for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  •  On the basis of the execution of the present Rules: to be able to organize, manage and monitor the Competition and the relationship with the Player, including the monitoring of registrations, participations, compliance with the rules, the management of disputes, the management of sanctions ; 

  • On the basis of the Organizer's legitimate interest in ensuring the allocation of winning prizes; 

  • On the basis of the Organizer's legitimate interest in ensuring the promotion of its activity: to be able to recontact the Player and send him/her communications and offers from the Organizer, on other competitions and on the Organizer's activity; 

  • On the basis of the Player's consent: to be able to send promotional communications relating to the Organizer's other activities, to the Organizer's partners. Players are informed that they may at any time withdraw their consent to receive such communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link (or equivalent) included in said communications. 

Certain Personal Data have been and will be requested from you in order to meet contractual requirements linked to the execution of the Competition Rules. These Personal Data will be identified on the forms (NB: asterisk or bold example). In addition, certain data will be collected to enable us to verify Players' compliance with the Rules, in particular parental authorizations and associated supporting documents when the Player is a minor in application of the applicable legal provisions, evidence and Players' conversations within the framework of the game, which will be used in the event of Players' disputes for evidentiary purposes. In the event of failure to transmit such Personal Data to us, or in the event of opposition to the processing of such Personal Data, we will not be able to execute the Rules of the Competition. In this respect, Players undertake to provide the Organizer with accurate and up-to-date Personal Data. 

Players' Personal Data may be transmitted :

  • to the Organizer's technical service providers for the purposes of providing services.

In addition, and subject to Players' consent, Personal Data may be: 

Used by LFP Media for the promotional purposes of its activities other than those related to competitions; and transmitted to LFP Media's Partners and clubs for promotional purposes. 

In addition, Players are informed that in the context of the Competition the Data: surname, first name, city of residence will be published and broadcast on the Competition website.

Personal Data is kept for the following periods:

  • for the management and follow-up of the Competition and the relationship with the Players: for the duration of the contractual relationship resulting from the execution of the Rules, then the Personal Data will be archived for evidentiary purposes for the duration of the applicable legal statute of limitations;

  •  in the event of banishment from future Competitions: the Player's identification data will be retained for the duration of the banishment;

  • for the sending of promotional content by LFP Media: for 3 years from the last contact with the Player, unless the Players consent is withdrawn.

In accordance with Regulation 2016/679/EU (RGPD) and the applicable legal provisions, Players have rights over the data concerning them (right of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, portability, the right to withdraw any consent given, limitation and to define directives on the fate of their data after their death) which they may exercise under the conditions defined by the aforementioned regulation directly with the Organizer at the following address: dpo@lfp.fr. 

Players may also lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) directly on its website: cnil.fr

The Organizer has appointed a DPO ("Data Protection Officer") whom Players may contact via the following email address: dpo@lfp.fr or by post to the attention of DPO de la LFP - 6 Rue Léo Delibes 75116 Paris.

The Organizer informs Players that any objection to the processing of their Personal Data during the Competition will result in the cancellation of their participation in the Competition.

Rules’ Evolutions

LFP Media reserves the right to modify the present Rules at any time, without prior notice or obligation to justify its decision, and without being held liable in any way. In particular, LFP Media reserves the right to modify the schedule and other terms and conditions of all or part of the Competition.

The Organizer also reserves the right to suspend, shorten, extend or cancel all or part of the Competition, if circumstances so require, without having to justify its decision and without being held liable in any way. 

Any modification to the rules of the Competition and its schedule will be communicated to Players via the Competition website or by any other means LFP Media deems appropriate.

Players are deemed to have accepted these modifications simply by participating in the Competition from the date on which the modification takes effect. 

The invalidity of any clause of these Rules shall not affect the validity of the other clauses.
