X Force Rejects lifts the PUBG Mobile African Championship

X Force Rejects emerged as the winners of the first ever PUBG Mobile Africa Championship held in Nairobi, Kenya. The South African squad beat 15 other teams in the Grand Finals held from September 13 to 14 at The Charter Hall.

Their victory secured them a prize of US$ 2,000 and a slot at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship while second placed Rejects X from Mauritius earned US$ 1,400 and third placed Rage Astranova of Madagascar bagged US$ 1,000.

The Africa Championship had a qualifier phase from July 13 to 20 while its group stage commenced from August 2 to 17, attracting over 12000 teams all in pursuit of glory at this inaugural edition.

X Froce Rejects captain Shiva was full of praise for the tournament and shared African gamers gratitude to Tencent for hosting the African championship,

“It’s been a great experience. We thank PUBG Mobile and Tencent for this opportunity. Our team is grateful for what they have done for the Africa region,” he said.

All the teams in the tournament used the Infinix GT30 Pro provided by Infinix, the title sponsor of the tournament while Safaricom provided seamless internet connectivity.
