IndexG unveils 3rd edition eLigue1 Tour Kenya with Ligue 1 Uber Eats

IndexG Esports is excited to announce the third edition of the eLigue1 Tour Kenya tournament in partnership with Ligue 1 Uber Eats. This year's tournament, played on PlayStation 5, will feature FC 24 and provide Kenyan gamers with a chance to win a coveted trip to Paris, France, where they will enjoy a city tour and VIP access to Ligue 1 Uber Eats matches.

This edition of the tournament will expand to two additional cities: Mombasa and Nakuru, alongside the capital, Nairobi. As in previous years, the tournament is open to gamers residing in Kenya, with an age requirement of 16 and above.

Defending champion Eric Demon (2023) and Luony “Fox” Teat, the 2022 champion, both attended the tournament launch at DayStar University in Nairobi, expressing their enthusiasm and determination.

“The winning feeling is incredible. I tasted it last year, and it was so amazing that I want to experience it again,” Demon said. “Watching Ligue 1 Uber Eats live at the stadium, seeing superstars like Messi and Mbappe up close, was surreal. That’s enough motivation for me, and I’m not letting anyone take that title away from me.”

Fox described this edition as his opportunity for redemption: “Last year, I lost in the early rounds as the defending champion, which was upsetting. I have to remind people of what I’m made of. It’s redemption time for me. You all better watch out,” he stated.

IndexG Esports founder Ronny Lusigi explained the decision to expand to additional cities and promised an even better tournament experience. “Last year, we received a lot of feedback from gamers requesting that we develop the tournament to make it more accessible. We listened, so Nakuru and Mombasa are the two cities we identified as ideal additions to the capital. As always, we promise Kenyan gamers an amazing experience.”

In addition to the trip to France, participants will compete for local prizes and a chance to win 10,000 Euros in the international competition in Paris.
